PURCHASING & OBTAINING SEEDS OR TRANSPLANTS

If the variety you are interested in growing for the 2021 season has not been approved by the Program, you must request the new variety by submitting a Domestic Seed/Propagule Request Form to the Department before purchasing or obtaining the variety. Make sure to monitor your THC levels throughout the season using a licensed third-party laboratory to ensure compliance with the 0.3% THC threshold up until harvest. If a variety has been designated by the Department as a “ Variety of Concern,” you are still permitted to grow the variety, but do so cautiously and responsibly. Licensed growers should first review this Summary of Varieties list prior to selecting hemp varieties to grow for the 2021 season. The Summary of Varieties List for the 2021 growing season is now available.
